Old School Pics

I was going through some files and found these photos.
Both are pretty old.

This is my fabulous drag-mother, PUSSY LEHOOT, and me at a Halloween show.
See how we go for the understated opproach when it comes to cosmetics?

This is Raven. She is from LA. We worked together (and worked IT) at Lake Havasu Pride.
She and I both thought that the other was going to be a B!TCH. We were both wrong, and had a great time!.

I am pictured here in the dressing room at Pookie's (AGAIN) with LA drag-personality, socialite, and fundraiser, Momma.

My Colors Are Blush and Bashful

These pics were taken last week at the incredible Wrigley Mansion for the fabulous Blush party

It was amazing night of "fun, friendship, and love" to benefit Body Positive and
Lesbian Health Project.
It was a grand night!

Here I am descending the grand staircase in true Norma Desmond fashion.

More Pics

Nothing really to say today.

Last night, I was at Amtsterdam, and Layla (A real girl) told me that she loves when I add pics to my blog.. SO-
Here are some NEW pics.

This is Devina and me in the dressing room at Pookie's. Have you noticed that all my pics are in dressing rooms?
This night I was getting ready to run on stage to do Bette Midler and we stopped for a quick pic.

Here are my beautiful Miss Arizona and Miss Phoeinix sisters.
Amanda is the blonde, and Chia is the brunette.

This is one of my favorite dresses. It fits like a glove, it's cut up to my cooter, and the the colors all "POP" on stage. I love that the fabric was like 79Ā¢ a yard!

Finally, one of the only pieces of evidence I can find to prove that Miss Gay America, Nicole DuBois was in Phoenix.
We ran the whole time he was here, and evidently only stopped for one or two pics the whole time. A horrible picture, but I still thought I would share it with you.

Hello, Mr. Eddie's Father

If that was totally racist, tell me.
But I do like this picture that my friend took of me backstage at Pookie's.

This costume was given to me by my good drag diva friend, DEVINA.
We saw TASTE OF HONEY last summer, and I mentioned that I always loved the Japanese song they do.

The next night, he gave me this costume.

The cool thing is, he used this very costume when he used to do that song, some 15 or so years ago.

I just love it!

Happy Valentime's Day

Image hosting by Photobucket

I thought this was a sweet way to start off my Valentime's Day DiatribeĀ©.

What about this?

And then, there is always the direct approach:

One of the good things about the blog is that you can go back and see how you were feeling a year ago. It looks like I kept a surprisingly upbeat attitude about Valetime's day.

Well, I have a positive attitude this year, too.

Wanna know why?

I have a valentime.

OK, now:
1.
2.
3.

Everybody say "ahh!"
(or "Blegh")

DC Matt asked me to be his valentime.
:-)

It's goofy, but it is sweet.

So tonight, I will celebrate Valentime's like people have done for hundreds of years before me.
Yes, I will don a dress, make up, and wigs, and tell jokes in front of strangers.

I am nothing, if not a traditionalist.

It's cool- DC Matt has to work, and many months ago I agreed to host the BLUSH EVENT.

Happy Valentime's Day to all of my friends, loves, fans, stalkers, family, and to my non-posting blog-readers. (Including , but not limited to Carlos and Brooke!)

Oh, And By The Way.. This One's For You

This blog goes out to all of the people who read me at work, but are to skerred to post a comment!

Sheesh.

I was out last night, and made awkward eye contact with someone who I thought was cruising me. He finally came up and told me loves to read my blog. (After, of course, complaining that I had not updated in a while.)

He said he once accidentally printed like 25 pages of my blog and the girls at his office all read it.

As I have said before, I always think that just Jeff, Ted, Parley, Nathan, and George were the only ones reading my blog. So this guy really took me by surprise.

What is the first thing I say?
"Well why don't you comment? Or say hi?"

Only now do I realize that "Thank you" might have been a better response.

Enny who-

Alright, people.
It's not just up to me to entertain your asses.
You gotta see your mama every night, or you don't see your mama at all!

I guess what that means is you have to talk back to your boy!

Don't leave me hanging.

(Heh, heh. I said "hanging".)

Darling Nate Berkus paid a return visit to me (and Oprah Winfrey) yesterday, after a far-too extended absence.

With his unruly hair, his dimples that you could set up camp in, and THAT smile, he has a special place in my heart.

Grrrr.

We Gotta Get Right Back To Where We Started From-

Well, I have been gone for a while. I don't know why exactly. Everytime I am ready to sit down and blog, I always think "why bother?"

There have actually been a lot of cool things going on:
We had the Golden Wighead Awards. It was not the success I had hoped for. It is one of those things that I ask myself: "WHY DO I BOTHER?"

I mean I put some time and effort in to putting together "The Academy Awards of Drag", but some people only want to bitch, moan, complain. The funny thing is, I have had this problem everytime I have done it. It's also notl ike I nominate myself- or that I have anything to gain by them. But some people are so bitter, so ugly, and so paranoid, that they cannot be a part of something if it is not their way.

End of that rant.

Better than the GWAs, was the visit from Nicole Dubois (sy hi to him at www.nocoledubois.com). He was with us for a week and was just a laugh and a half. But also a very thoughtful and kind person. We toured all over and worked 5 days in a row in Phoenix and Tucson. For those of you who don't know- he is Miss Gay America (read about that www.missgayamerica.com ), and he was everything a MGA should be. With some to spare.

We have also started the planning and groundwork for Miss Gay Arizona 2007. We have an amazing group of people working to make our annual pageant something special. My prediction:: THE BEST YEAR EVER!

On Wednesday, I did my third and best appearance yet at the Comedy Spot in Scottsdale. I wrote some new stuff and added a few of the better bits from previous bookings. Instead of the 15 minutes I have done before, I did 22. It doesn't seem like much- but if you think about it- a sitcom is only 22 minutes! To some that might sound like a nightmare! But it was awesome. I am still not where I want to be with my stand up skills- but I am getting better.

I also got the chance to open for Paul (J!) Williams at Hamburger Mary's. It was cool experience, because Paul was one of the first "Gay Entertainers" I saw when I started performing. That show was a little rocky for me, but I am too hard on myself, according to some. In any case, I am so glad I got to do it, and got to perform for Paul. (Say hi to Paul at www.pauljwilliams.com)

Things are quiet for me this week, so i will update midweek and include some pics.

Love to love you, Baby!
